Arusha National Park is a small and charming national park located in the northeast of Tanzania. Arusha National Park is near the city of Arusha and provides great views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Arusha National Park is a scenic and diverse park which offers a wide range of animal and plant species.


Arusha National Park also has a rich diversity of landscapes. From waterfalls, lakes, and swamps to volcanos, tropical rainforests, and mountains, Arusha National Park is the ideal reserve for all kinds of animals. The swamps, rainforests, and lakes attract many beautiful birds, including silvery-cheeked hornbills and thousands of pink-hued flamingos. This park is also the only place in northern Tanzania where you can easily spot the black-and-white colobus monkey.

Within Arusha National Park, Mount Meru is located there. With a height of 4,566 meters, this dormant volcano is Tanzania's second-highest mountain (14,990 feet). Although it is a lovely peak, it is difficult to ascend. The panoramic views of the park's steppes, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the Momella Lakes are breathtaking from the peak. A day climb up Mount Meru is a pleasant change of pace and offers you a different viewpoint. Additionally, we plan ascents of the mountain.

A canoe or walking safari with an armed ranger is one of the well-liked safari activities in Arusha national park. For instance, the Momella lakes in the northeast include a wide range of creatures. Hippos and various birds live there, and they are in an open area. Near the lakes, countless buck and buffalo can be spotted.

Arusha National Park can be visited throughout the year; however, the best time to visit Arusha National Park is between June to September and from December to early March. The short rainy period is from October to November and the heavy rain season is from March to May. Arusha National Park is located at an altitude between 1,700 and 4566 meters.
